Mike Tremblay (PhD, Toronto) is an adviser to public and private sector organisations. Working internationally, he advises clients on  innovation, research, technology and policy.

He has advised public and private sector organisations in, e.g. Canada, UK, Belgium, France, Germany USA, Netherlands, Spain, Malta, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

He advised the Council of Europe on two recommendations relating to e-health and new media.

He has conducted strategic studies in innovation and research translation and commercialisation, health system governance, community pharmacies, Internet pharmacies,European cross-border healthcare, digital interactive television, electronic prescribing, e-health, and artificial intelligence in healthcare.

He  participated in ground-breaking work on international benchmarking of 4th hurdle systems (economic evaluation) in medicines regulation,. 

He has held management positions at Hamilton Health Sciences, and McMaster University in Canada, and an academic  appointment at the School of Public Policy, University of Birmingham, UK, where he was Senior Lecturer, Director of the Masters in Quality, Deputy Director of the Public Service MBA and Associate Dean. 

He has lectured at INSEAD, Cranfield, McMaster, Birmingham, Keele, King's Fund, and been Visiting Research Fellow at London School of Economics.

He led the UK healthcare consulting practice for EDS, and was a Principal at A.T. Kearney, management consultants, London.

Mike was a founding Director of Eden Communications which set up Living Health, an interactive television service developed for the UK's National Health Service with Telewest and Flextech in the UK. The channel explored the potential of interactive media into the home.

Mike's original studies are in mathematical logic and scientific methodology.  Following graduate work in modal and quantum logic, he shifted his focus to the wider social context of health, science and technology, which informs much of what he does today.
